How to access file path in Japanese Edition OS

Hi,

I want to access a file at a particular path in Japanese and French OS from my user machine which is in English Locale. The problem is that I am not able to access any file due to difference in character interpretation.  The "\" which is used to specify file path is interpreted as some Japanese symbol on the client machine.

Does Vmware SDK 5.0 resolve this path issue which was there in VMware SDK 4.0?
